Chimney Repair & Replacement

On a masonry structure, the chimney is usually the first component to show distress. It's free-standing, so it receives the brunt of mother nature's wrath. The chimney also shows signs of degradation long before other parts of your building.  Call us to discuss ways to add years to your chimney's life!

PROBLEM

A terrible storm caused lightning to strike a nearby tree. The large branch broke from the tree and landed on top of our customer's chimney, causing it to crack in half!  It was a dangerous situation.

SOLUTION

Evanston Masonry was able to safely remove the tree, then rebuild the chimney to restore the building's integrity.

Here, Evanston Masonry skillfully rebuilt the chimney of a multi-unit building restoring the building's luster!

BEFORE

Customer called with concerns of water leaking into the home, damaging the roofing structure and the walls inside the home.

AFTER_

Evanston Masonry rebuilt the customer's chimney to include new flue liners, concrete cap, steel flashing, and bricks to match the roof surface.

This chimney belongs to a house about 100 years old. The owner was concerned with maintaining the integrity of the design to match the pattern of the bricks to the rest of the house. We were able to replicate the chimney exactly. After seeing our outstanding work, the owner decided not to paint the chimney to show off the natural beauty of the bricks!

Here we were asked to work on a chimney for another home about 100 years old. This chimney had a more sophisticated design, so the owner needed us to replicate the design EXACTLY, then tuckpoint the rest of the front of the house to match. Also, we needed to correct the mistakes inside the chimney (done by another company earlier) in order to successfully complete the job.

Mission accomplished!
